Weekly stand ups
Our weekly stand-ups take place every Monday and are a cornerstone of our team's communication and alignment efforts. These short, focused meetings allow us to quickly touch base, share progress, identify roadblocks, and set priorities for the week ahead.
Jira board
During our stand-ups, we also reference our Jira board which is a visual representation of our current work, with tasks organised into columns such as "To do," "In progress," and "Done." Each task is represented by a card, which includes details like the task's description, assignee, and due date.
Why we do stand-ups
Stand-ups help ensure that everyone on the team is aligned, aware of each other's progress, and can offer support where needed. They also promote accountability and transparency, making it easier to identify issues early and adjust plans accordingly. By regularly referencing our Jira board during these meetings, we maintain a clear view of our workload and priorities, which helps us stay on track and achieve our goals efficiently.
Additionally, stand-ups foster alignment and collaboration within the team. During these sessions, we may discover that multiple designers are working on similar issues or facing related challenges. This presents an opportunity for them to collaborate, share insights, and leverage each other's strengths.
